So, I love talking about my favorite baby names long before the baby comes...I think about it all the time because I think a name is so important and special, I want it to be just right. So, I'm going public with my favorites and feel free to give me your opinions! (Just don't be offended if I choose your least favorite; my opinion counts the most, hm. David's counts second, ha). So here they are:
Charlotte
Madeline (pronounced with an \I\ like in "mine"--not Madelyn)
Claire
Juliet
Right now I just love Juliet. I saw it on the movie credits for Meet Joe Black last night (one of my favorite movies). The main actress's real name was "Claire," and then further down there was a "Juliet." I'd never considered it before but I LOVE it. So don't say anything bad about that one in your comments.
I love names! If you have any more good ideas and you're okay with me possibly stealing them, do let me know.
Love,
Janelle

i love claire and charlotte!! I'm excited you are having a little girl.
madeline is really cute and i think it goes well with hazel! juliet could work too! also, my favorite girl name that i love and would have used this time around if this one was a girl is joselyn. i absolutely love it. unfortunately travis doesn't love it so who know if i'll ever use it. not to mention it looks like i'm on a boy streak! good luck choosing.
good choices... here are a few more for thought:
Ava
Stella
Joelle (joe\ el)
Mia
Piper
i know you might totally hate them, but i think they sort of go with the Hazelish feel. Maybe middle names ?? Man... i don't look forward to naming my babies, its hard!
i love them all. and i'm sitting here thinking "hazel and clair"..."hazel and charlotte"....and then "hazel and juliet" and i love love love juliet. i think it goes so well with hazel and phipps as a last name. so that's my input. and i just asked ben and he said, "juliet." so the garrison vote is juliet. and we know that ours is all that matters. so welcome to the world juliet!!!! :)
oh, ben said there's one more that would be great. "Rorka"
Ooh, all good choices! Juliet and Claire are especially sweet. . . and sorry we took "Lucy," I know it was on your last short list. How fun, though, to be searching for baby names! P.S. Here is a great little tool to play with in your search http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager
Oh, janelle...you are brave! I never liked answering the "do you have any names picked out?" pregnancy question because i didn't want to know people's opinions or comments--good or bad--and have them spoil my love for the names. so i won't say anything, except...they are all great names and you really can't go wrong with any of them. happy choosing!
I like all of your names, but I have to tell you one of my favorites that we will never use because Jared doesn't like it, but I love it! Adeline-just like Madeline, but without the M. Another that sounds similar (and is kind of classic sounding like Hazel) is Adelaide. I love these names, and if I can't use them, I want someone to!
I tend to go with what sounds best with the name you've aready got because you know you'll be calling out both names when they get into mischief. "Hazel" "Madeline" or "claire" sounds great.
i love the simplicity of claire, but i feel like it's becoming much more popular. i think charlotte is so precious and i've never really considered juliet before, but i really like it!
I love all of those!!! (my real name is Charlotte, though...so I might be partial to that one) :)
