A bunch of "firsts"

We've had a lot of firsts this week with our baby boy. The girls love him so much and ask to hold him all the time. Here's a shot of his first bath at home, right before we took him to Camille's for pictures:

I hadn't cleaned out his baby bathtub yet, so we did it in the sink. He didn't seem to mind too much.
Poor Hazel has had a little cold so she's wearing a face mask while she holds her baby brother during story time.
These are hands down our favorite pajamas. Our little spaceman.
We could never do what we do without the love and support of David's parents. Every Sunday night we have a lovely dinner (that they provide!), we play games, and stay the night. It's the best way to get recharged for the week. Here's the girls putting on a fashion show for us, using Gram's dress ups.
Nothing quite as adorable as those baby feet. My goodness.
Making some sweets always perks up our day. And I always have plenty of help.
Eloise started playing the harmonica.

Edison found his fingers.
So sweet and small and squishy and cute.
And our first real date! I squeezed into the dress David bought me for our anniversary in February and we went to see The Hunger Games.

We're still not sleeping as much as we'd like, but life is good.

Baby Edison

I'm so grateful to know Camille. She did a fantastic job capturing the sweetness of our baby boy. Here are the long-awaited new born baby pictures of Edison David:

Love him.

Baby baby baby

We're just hanging out lately here at home and enjoying our time together with our new baby brother. He has all of us wrapped around his tiny finger. Sure is nice having a boy around these parts.

"Mom, I love you with all my heart."

Edison is never lonely.
I love that he has his Dad's cleft chin. And those cheeks!

And I must admit, as smitten as we all are, there is one who will sit with him the longest...

Love my family. Really do.

St. Patrick's Day

My mom so was determined to get a cute picture of our family on St. Patrick's Day, she even bought my girls St. Patty's Day t-shirts. So David and I joined in and changed into green and we all posed on the couch for Grandpa. I think we turned out pretty cute.

My sweet wee bairn. I bought this outfit just in case he was born on this day.

Wow, what a lucky woman I am! I still can't believe I have blonde children.
My awesome mother also went out and bought little goodies for the girls so we could celebrate. We hid them in their room and sent them on a tiny scavenger hunt to find them.
If it isn't obvious yet, none of this celebration was planned ahead of time! But I think we pulled together a great party, thanks to my mom! We decorated our table and I wrote little notes to everyone from a little leprechaun. Hazel told us that his name must be her name backwards, so it's "Basil."
We made green cupcakes and my mom prepared our favorite dinner for us, chicken parmesan.
What a night.

As a suprise, we made green Shirley Temple drinks for the girls with cherries.

Night, night, sweet boy.
