Just in case you were wondering

Here's a few things I'm looking forward to...
November 3rd, 2009 Election Day

This haircut. Soon. (Sorry for the nudity, but hey, we're private)

These jeans I just ordered from Express. I CANNOT find jeans that fit me. I hope these do.

This costume I'm making for David for Halloween. The girls and I are going to be princesses (of course we don't need to dress up much at all for that).

HALLOWEEN candy. Yes.

Oh the little things we can't live without

Like my camera battery charger, for instance. Well, I'm proud to announce that I ordered one on Ebay today. So in 4-7 business days, I will be able to once again take pictures of my family and the many exciting things we do on a daily basis. I do have much to catch up on... Once David downloads his pictures off of his iphone, I will be able to write about:

david's birthday (oct 8th)
my mom's sealing in the temple (oct 10th)
my birthday (oct 17th)

...and a few cute pictures of the girls in between. David has been working so so hard on his campaign, his schoolwork, his JOB. I'm so amazed. Like I mentioned in previous post, our opposition has been pushing hard to discredit David. They are accusing him of not being eligible to run for the city council (they were searching for dates on our blog of when we moved to Ogden). We bought our lease and moved all of our belongings into our house last October, but on the blog I wrote about how we didn't physically move in until early December because we did some painting and renovation upstairs. Before David even ran, we had the attorney general approve his eligibility, which he did, and so everything was okay. But now the opposition is pushing the matter and getting it into the paper to make him look dishonest. Sadly, the state official who discredited David in the city paper is in our ward and knows we started attending the ward a year ago. Politics.

Anyway, we have many people who support David and are rolling their eyes at this entire matter and giving us great encouragement. I've learned so much throughout this entire campaign and I'm glad David chose to get involved. It's made me appreciate our city, our mayor, and all those that are working hard to make Ogden a great place to live. Hooray for Ogden!

I've started training for my marathon again after a month and a half break due to family ILLNESS. I hate flu season. It makes me afraid to go anywhere; especially when you have a toddler that is potty training and can't NOT touch all the parts of public toilets with her legs and feet and hands that carry swine germs. blah. But I'm doing everything possible to get a babysitter to come three days a week so I can run. My stroller failed me; but I'll save that story for another post.

Happy October to all of you!

it's private

Well, unfortunately, there are some folks in Ogden who hate our mayor and have tagged David as a "pro-mayor" candidate and are out to destroy his campaign for city council. They have been reading through our blog in an attempt to find something they can use against him. Needless to say, and much to my chagrin, we are going private. I beg of you to send me your email address if you haven't already received an invitation to my blog. Hopefully we can open back up to all readers once the campaign is over. We'll keep you posted.
