A Wedding (April 2013)

On our way to Collin and Ryan's wedding! We took this little guy with us and I have to say, his mustache binky was a HIT. I drove nine hours yesterday to get the girls to my mom's house and back. I worried that they might have a tough time when I left, so I wrote them a note for each day that I'm gone. Hope it helps. It was hard driving away without them!
Then we took off to Atlanta! We brought little Eddie with us again, although he was a little harder this time than last fall. It was fun to have our little secret together about our pregnancy since we hadn't told anyone yet. I've been more nauseous with this one than any of the others--nothing that bad at all, just an underlying nausea all day. That made me wonder if it was twins (ha!) but I had my first appt on May 7th and there was just one little wiggly body in there! It's always thrilling to see that tiny perfect body and hear that heartbeat for the first time.

We got to see David's house that he grew up in again. Neat to be back in our old stomping grounds.

And the wedding was beautiful. Ryan has lovely taste and she's a lovely girl.
We're so happy for Collin.
I love seeing the red in David's beard next to our red-headed Ed.

Brothers.

Love this picture.
Both these boys were barely learning to walk. Fun to see them play together.
So handsome.

It's been fun having our little secret together this trip. Just around two months along here.

Wedding are so romantic!

The next day we went to Stone Mountain and enjoyed learning about blown glass!

I kept thinking about how much Hazel would love these glass flowers.

That tie, those jeans, those shoes. I love having a little man.

Just having one kid with us is so easy!

These two were happy to see each other. So good to be home.
Congrats to Collin and Ryan!

April 2013

Eloise with her favorite stuffed animal she calls her squirrel, which is actually a prairie dog that Bradley bought for shooting practice. And she refuses to take off this church dress. Oh, this one.
Our little soccer player.
She still sleeps with her eyes open. Creeper sleeper!
Hazel was getting Charlotte ready for her wedding. I asked her who she was going to marry and Charlotte said, "I don't know. Prince Charming, I guess."

Just milking a cow, in a pretty dress. She asked if she could wash her hands afterwards because she thought the water was actually milk.

A little photo shoot

From the journal: "Worked really hard on finding the joy in the ordinary lately. Motherhood is filled with ordinary, monotonous routine but added up together, they make one extraordinary journey. So instead of getting bored and angry, I'm trying to see the value of the ordinary throughout the day."

I found this binky at one of my favorite stores downtown The Queen Bee. I couldn't resist.
Edison dunked a bean bag into our toilet today and sucked the water out of it. He got a bath and a photo shoot after that so I guess we're even.
Eloise will not take off her dress all day long. I kinda love this phase. So girly. She'll say, "Do you like my dress?" She even lets me do double french braids in her hair which is new for both of us.

Oh this little lady.

Little bit of creativity

Yes, I am a super hero. At least my Joy School kids think so.
The "Snoreasaurus" jammies are some of my very favorite.
This is how we usually feel after the bedtime routine with the kids.
Another dress up and use your imagination day at Joy School. It's exhausting, but I really do love teaching these kids.
We made crazy creative pancakes.

The girls had their first violin recital! Sariah, their teacher, does such a great job and we are very proud of these ladies and their progress. I know one day it will all pay off. Hazel played "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and Charlotte played "Open D" and plucked a song called "At Pierott's Door." They both did very well.
Family Night trophies!
Some cute shots from Activity Time. That face melts my heart.

Oh if I could freeze time, I'd stop it right here.
