G-I-R-L-S

Love 'em, love 'em.

Photobucket
We call this her Fancy Nancy coat.
Photobucket
Oh how Charlotte loves her little baby sister.
Photobucket
I could eat her cheeks.
Photobucket
How could that not make you so happy?
p.s. see the burp cloth she's laying on? It was made for me by my talented friend Juliann.
She even designed a tag just for me with three little bears, for my three girls (top right corner).
She's also a semi-finalist in a fabric competition so visit her blog and vote. Love you Juliann.

Photobucket
Oh my goodness, this was just an ordinary day. But even on ordinary days, a true princess must get dressed. She did everything all on her own. Can you tell?

Oh, I'm so lucky. So lucky.

Weekend with family

Tyson and Amber came down from Idaho and we spent the weekend with them up at Kevin and Vicki's. It was our first time meeting little Spencer who was born on Dec. 31st.
The girls had a great time outside in the snow.

I love that Hazel's big smile soon turns to...

...hiding her face!

Brooklyn and Kennedy didn't have snow clothes, so they were out in their jeans and borrowed snow gear from Gram! I was very impressed with how tough they were in the cold.

Isn't sledding so much fun? It's addictive.
(Except for the part where you have to hike back up the hill.)

Gram made mini cherry pies with the girls on Monday.
Sledding AND baking with Gram. Does it get any better than this?

(Not Charlotte's best photo)

Gram had to have a taste too...

That evening we invited Paige and her kids to join us. She and David took Hazel and Brooklyn skiing! It was Hazel's first time and unfortunately I stayed home with the other kids, so I don't have pictures. They went to the Magic Carpet at Wolf Mountain which is like a little conveyor belt that takes them up a small hill and they ski down. Hazel did great and loved it.

And back at the home front, Charlotte made sure Jude was taken care of...she felt like he needed to accessorize a bit.

Family Date

We decided to take the girls out on a Saturday night for ice cream. Anytime we try to get Hazel to wear jeans, we have to make a big deal out of it to convince her that it's worth the pain (she does NOT like jeans). So we ALL wore jeans together, even little Eloise.

Trouble

Now that Lottie is officially TWO, she is really shining. Here's an example of what she's been up to this month...(this actually happened within one week. I about lost my mind).

Photobucket
Remember those beads you put onto a plastic holder in whatever shape you want and then iron them, melting them together into a keychain or whatever?
Yeah, she found those.

Photobucket
We made this frame for V-day and I made it very clear that it was decoration only.
She made it past V-day and then attacked.

And who doesn't like to sleep naked, come on.

Photobucket
This was crazy hour; I was trying to make dinner and she wouldn't stop getting into snacks.
I contained her in my wrap and it worked like a charm.

I have to say though, I would take the terrible two's over terrible three's any day.
Any day.

Be my valentine

Photobucket
Our month of February was filled with lots of lovely V-Day activities and wonderful dates with my handsome husband. We celebrated our 5th anniversary on the 11th. David took me out to our favorite restaurant in Ogden, Jasoh's, and a $3 movie we've been wanting to see (The Next Three Days). He gave the most thoughtful gift too: almost three years ago, we both received a lot of birthday money for some reason. I spent mine on IKEA frames--well spent too--but David decided to invest his in the stock market. Well his $120 has grown to over $450. And his gift to me was his hard-earned profit to invest in the advertisement of my toddler blog.
I know. I'm the luckiest.

We had a family breakfast on Valentine's Day morning. I wrote things I love about each of them on the back of these glittery hearts and they had to guess who it was. David got some breath mints for those early morning kisses. The girls had some candy surprises on their plates.
Don't you just LOVE holidays.

Photobucket
We cut out paper hearts and taped them to the girls for our traditional "heart attack" for Gram at work. It was a little more difficult this year with two little wiggly bodies to decorate. Next year might be impossible...The rest of the day was a pretty typical day until my husband surprised me with another hot date!
Photobucket
Since we didn't take any pictures of our anniversary date, we had to make up for it on Valentine's day. Of course Ellie came too.
Photobucket
We didn't have a reservation, so we walked in and out of a few restaurants on 25th until we found a delicious Greek restaurant that had a table for us. We ended up getting some to-go boxes to make it to yet another $3 movie, Harry Potter. Such a good movie. It makes me want to read all of the books again and get lost in that world. I wish I had the brain of J.K. Rowling.

Happy happy Valentine's Day.
p.s. I love David.
