September 20 - September 30

"I" is for inchworm. Love that activity time.
On Friday, the 20th, we had dinner with Kevin and Vicki and Grandma and Grandpa Phipps to celebrate Grandpa Phipps' 81st birthday.

It felt good to get dressed up fancy. I even gave the girls some fancy necklaces to wear and I wore fancy heels. I snuck away to the temple after that. I love that time by myself in the temple.
P.S. We made ice cream in our new ice cream maker this morning for the letter I. So proud!

Hazel gave me this beautiful note that I ended up writing a little bit about in my essay I submitted to the Real Simple Essay contest. The note inside said, "The wudr uv yor hort with life fils love." My interpretation of it was, "The wonder of your heart fills life with love." So darn sweet. Then she drew two hands handing a note with a heart on it to one another.
Cute messy baby with a mustache.
After soccer games and naps, we went to the Harvest Moon festival today with Gram and Papa Kevin! We feel so lucky that we get to have her close by for these fun days. They never miss a soccer game and they almost always join us for the other fun stuff too. We love the Harvest Moon festival and this time, the girls brought their own money to pay for the "tip" for the face painting and balloon animals. Charlotte got a poodle balloon and I accidentally popped it under my arm, right after I told her not to put it in the grass. Mom fail. Hazel got a bow and arrow, just like she asked Santa for in her letter to him; a "boen ero."
After Harvest Moon, we went to our ward carnival where the kids got mustaches painted on them. Hazel won the hula hoop contest and Charlotte introduced her hula hoop dance to us, which remind us so much of my mom.
Stuck. David thought it was funny.

32 weeks and starting to feel it. I love this baby so much. I love to feel her activity throughout the day.

She let me dress her up in skinny jeans instead of the typical princess dress. This is big.

"Look at the fish, Mom."
Still loves shoes.

Starting to hoard his toys and take them everywhere he goes.
From the journal on Friday, September 27th: No school for Hazel. I called it a "movie day" so I could clean the basement but first we did activity time. We did "J" for jokes and read J books and two joke books. The one that cracked me up the most was, "There were two muffins in an oven and one said "it's hot in here" and the other said, "Oh my goodness! A talking muffin!" haha. Then the girls made "jesters" with paper bags. Hazel loved it = mission accomplished.
That night David and I did a session at the Bountiful temple and were endowed for Raiford and Cleetis Dorsey! How special is that?
Just enjoin' a treat on the back porch.
Monday, the 30th, we learned about prophets and focused on Joseph Smith and the Restoration. Right in the middle, we had a surprise visit form the Bell's, so we invited them to come in and join us.

We each recited the First Vision in our mission language, so we ended up with Spanish, Portuguese and English. Powerful words.
Then David challenged all the kids to stick pull with our broom. Guess who won.

Love this man I married.
Hazel made me a "prar" rock.
