The three kid leap: the point in life where your kids officially out number you.
Odds are, someone will always be grumpy or hungry or in need of something.
Chances of surviving a trip to the post office and/or grocery store have shifted from slim to zero.

Coordinating nap times is no longer an option.
After my first, I couldn't jump on a trampoline without peeing my pants.
Now after having a second child, I can't sneeze without fearing the worst.
And what shall I expect after a third? Will speaking set me off?
Chances are...
Hazel will want to dress up the baby and give him/her milk from "her belly"
(she currently has a lamb growing in her belly, drinking milk).
Charlotte will want to give the baby hugs and loves all day long--
when she's not jealous that mom isn't hugging and loving her.
David will pray that it's a boy, but settle for an all girls' golf team.
I will pray hard to stay sane and kind and alive and somehow still find time to brush my teeth and shave my legs and not pee my pants whenever my allergies kick in.
If I can manage all that, then I can do anything.
We will make the three kid leap sometime around December 4th.
What an adventure awaits us!
p.s. check out this column about having three kids. Loved it.

COngradulation! the three kid leap is only hard for the first 3ish months but then you get into the swing of things and get your routine back and it is not as bad after that.:)
Yay, I am super excited for you and your family! Congrats, I hope everything goes well..
PS. I am due with #2 on Nov. 6
3 is fun! really, I thought it was easier than 2, in a way ;) When's the ultrasound?? We'll see you guys in July!
Yea!! I agree that 3 was way easier then 2. And the older ones are such good helpers. (most of the time) haha We are taking the big leap to number 4! Due 1-1-11. We're very excited and of course hoping for a boy. To me it's a girl until proven otherwise. :) I hope you're feeling better then I am....I havent been off the couch much in 2 1/2 months...so very sick...by the rock climbing pictures it looks like you're doing pretty good! Cant wait to see you guys in a few days. :)

Congratulations, Janelle! You'll be great. Suddenly I'm struck with an overwhelming desire to discuss your experience, theories, expectations and plans concerning child birth.
