She has arrived!

She's here! At about 3:30am my water broke and we headed to the hospital as soon as possible. By the time I was brought into the delivery room, my contractions were only a minute or two apart and I was dilated to an eight! They quickly administered the epidural (love that) and at 5:16 am we had a beautiful little girl in our arms! She weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and is a little over 20 inches long. She has a full head of black hair just like her mom did. We couldn't be more in love with our second little girl and Hazel is SO excited to be a big sister. Thanks for all your love and support and phone calls. We are all doing well.

At this point David votes for naming her "Tank"
My favorite is the mohawk they give her after her bath.
Hazel loves holding the baby and pointing to all of her features and saying them.- "nose", "mouth", "hair"
And there is no taking that little baby away from her. "NO!"
The Phipps ladies. I have now been completely outnumbered! -David

So, what is her name? Well it wasn't very easy, but we decided to name her...

Charlotte.

CONGRATULATIONS! I've been checking back every couple of hours ever since I called you, by chance, right after you delivered her yesterday morning and your reply to how you were doing was a calm and happy, "Oh, we're doing great. We just had a baby girl this morning." :) Like it was nothing to give birth! Haha! Anyway, LOVE the name you chose and now I can stop guessing what her name is going to be. SHE IS SO CUTE AND HEALTHY LOOKING! (ie, love the chub!) Love that dark hair and I'm excited to see if she'll be a mini you, Janelle. Welcome, Charlotte! And congratulations, you family of 4! Love you guys!

Darling. .. are you sure she's yours? How in the world could little Janelle deliver an almost 8 lb baby in less than two hours! I think she was switched in the nursery.

Just kidding, she is so precious she must be yours. Charlotte is a beautiful name, although I like Tank as well. Congrats!

She can't be Tank, Johnathan is Tank! He gained 6 pounds in his first month, and hasn't stopped since! If she keeps up with him, she can be Tankette, but she must renounce her title if she fails to keep up... 14 lbs at 3 months! :-D
Love ya, girl! You and David make cute girls... now let's see what kinda boy you'll make! :-D Congratulations!!!!!!

Hey David, it's not so bad being surrounded by women, especially midway or later in life. . . I too am a girl-maker and trust me, it's all good and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Congrats, you two and WOW! What another pretty, pretty face in the family! Fantastic, and more little divas all around! She's beautiful and I'm vicariously so proud!
Charlotte's back in the family and with all the girls around her, she'll never run out of hairspray to borrow.
Now Janelle, I've been meaning to talk to you about that Thanksgiving photo. . .ha! You just wait! For the record folks, I was awake for the pie-eating and canoe ride!
Love you Doll
Great job. Always,Dad
