Phippsite Nite and Farewell to Lizzy

Phippsite night has become a hit in our household. Tonight the girls were the daughters of the Lamanites dancing near the waters (our trampoline) and David was the wicked priest(s), who carried them away.

Eloise now poses for pictures. And this is what it looks like.

That's better.

And farewell to Lizzy, our little lizard that was the best (and easiest) pet ever. Hazel caught her at my mom's cabin down in Cedar, we lost her in our van for a few minutes, but recovered her and she became part of our family for almost two years. We buried her in our backyard and Hazel puts flowers on her grave whenever she goes outside.
RIP Lizzy Lizard.

Phippsite Nite

On Monday night, we started a new tradition that is part of our family goal of being "obedient." On the last Monday of every month, we will act out the Book of Mormon story that we read together throughout the month. We've been stuck on the story of King Noah and Abinadi for a few months now, so our kids knew it quite well!
Wicked King Noah
A wickedly cute priest in King Noah's court. She was in charge of bringing Abinadi in to the king, which she did dutifully.
Abinadi, with attitude.
Alma, the repentant priest.
King Noah and his priest Alma drinking and being merry.
King Noah's priest escorting Abinadi into the court (with a curious onlooker in the background).
And the whole clan together!
We thought we'd try a new idea to inspire our girls to be kind, obedient, and brave (our motto). I found these trophies online and had them engraved to match the values we're trying to instill in these little ones...
Charlotte wasn't happy with the eagle tonight.

After two weeks, our idea is working well with this little one. She is being extra good to her sisters and I believe it's because she's had our eye on this Obedient trophy.
