And here are Edison's six months pictures. I had a lot of fun with these. He is such an easy baby.

The Letter V

For the Letter V, I took the girls to the Vintage Cupcake, a little shop downtown that has gourmet cupcakes--yum!

She chose pink and the three of us shared.

One of my favorite things about downtown are these horses that are all around.

Activity time

September 11th:

Yesterday Charlotte started Joy School! We have a really great group this year and I'm excited for her to have this experience with other kids every Mon and Wed. On Tuesday, we did a letter of the week activity for the letter "V." This was hands down one of my favorite days with Charlotte.

We shaved pieces of crayon and sprinkled them into the shape of an exploding volcano. Then we melted them with an iron and she signed her name at the bottom. I decided to make a matte with construction paper and frame it right away. Free and wonderful art.

I love that she has on her apron while she draws. Cutie tootie.

In the evening, we sized both Hazel and Charlotte for violins! I'm so excited. It was a last minute decision to start Charlotte along with Hazel. We'll see how she does at the young age of three. (I found a youtube video where a three year old was playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star).

This was a busy day for the Phipps family.

September 12th: Hazel officially "started reading"! She read this BOB book to me and I had to take a picture, she did so well.

Edison is getting an early start with the iPad.

This little one has been army crawling all around the house lately.

 This was a good day. Whenever I'm feeling a need for change or to just "get out," we head over to Great Harvest Bread downtown and take our food over to the nearby park.

Sunday Lovin'

He's not quite six months yet, but I had to do a mini shoot in these overalls on this lovely Sunday afternoon.With the socks. My goodness.

Hazel woke up on this Sunday morning and said that she needed to pay her tithing because she had earned ten chore coins a while ago. I was so proud that she remembered on her own! And it just so happened that her lesson in Primary was on tithing, so her teacher helped her fill out her first tithing slip in class and they took it to the bishop (not sure why her "1" is in fast offerings...).

Hazel also got ten tiny sugar cookies in her class and reluctantly shared one with Eloise (they were yummy). But little Charlotte only got ONE cookie in her class and even though it was small, she nibbled only around the edges and saved the very middle for her older sister, Hazel.

Eloise has been starting to use the potty...

Vicki showed the girls how to tie quilts for a service project for Africa. 

Hazel thought it was very neat.

We sure love our Sundays at Gram and Papa Kevin's. We're so grateful for this time with Grandma and Grandpa Phipps as well.
